Welcome to Classic Top 30 (CT30.COM)

A long time ago, I had taken to typing in data from Top 30 charts into Notepad to make them easier to share on message boards, before scanners and graphic websites became popular. As the web grew, my coding skills did not, and thus is a very sloppy site, with content in many differert styles and layouts.

About

This site was originaly created to honor and preserve the history of 45rpm records that were played on the radio stations that I listened to in the 60's and 70's in California and in Detroit - CKLW, KGB, WKNR and KCBQ

Use the links at the top to view the data from the stations that I grew up with and a few that I enjoyed following their charts.

The 45 RPM Record

RCA Victor unveiled the 45 RPM record in March of 1949 and the era of the 45s lasted for 40 wonderful years.

A record's grooves may be wearing out, but the songs will live forever!

Classic Top 30

The other area of the site is the fantasy Classic Top 30, where you can vote for your favorite songs from the past. Updated on Satuarday Night/Sunday Morning. (deadline for votes in Satuarday Afternoon)
